Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026 | Terms governing use of the Modern GABBAR platform

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between Modern GABBAR and its users. Please read carefully before using. This agreement is governed by the Indian Contract Act 1872, IT Act 2000, and Consumer Protection Act 2019. By continuing to use this platform, you accept these terms in full.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Modern GABBAR, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including those who register, those who file complaints, and those who browse without registering. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time with 30 days notice.

2.User Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Modern GABBAR. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not create multiple accounts or use the platform to impersonate others. Accounts found in violation may be suspended without notice.

3.Platform Role & Limitations

Modern GABBAR is a technology-facilitated grievance documentation and forwarding platform. We are NOT a law firm, legal advisor, or government body. We do not guarantee resolution of any complaint. Our AI assistant generates complaint letters as templates — you remain responsible for verifying their accuracy. For RTI applications, we provide guidance and templates only; you must submit directly to the concerned authority. We do not file RTI applications on your behalf.

4.Acceptable Use

You agree to use Modern GABBAR only for lawful purposes. You must not file false, misleading, or malicious complaints. You must not upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates any person's rights. You must not attempt to hack, disrupt, or abuse the platform's systems. You must not use the platform for commercial solicitation or spam. Filing a complaint with fabricated information may expose you to legal liability under Indian law including Section 182 IPC (false information to a public servant).

5.Content & Data Ownership

You retain ownership of the complaint narratives and evidence you submit. By submitting, you grant Modern GABBAR a non-exclusive licence to process, store, and forward this content as necessary to provide the service. Stories and Appreciations you publish on the community section are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence unless marked private. You may request deletion of your content at any time.

6.Disclaimers & Liability

Modern GABBAR is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that complaints will be resolved or acknowledged by government departments. Department contact information provided by our AI is sourced from public records and may not always be current. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Modern GABBAR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed ₹1,000 per user per incident.
